Alien
Horror/Sci-fi
Sigourney Weaver and co. battle a terrifying Alien after one of the
crew gives birth (but not exactly in the way you would expect) to a
terrifying monster. Simple, initially scary and very effective.
Alien is one of the true horror classics, and inspired many inferior
movies since its first release. Whilst the horror has worn off over the
years, the sheer quality and entertainment will forever remain.

Aliens
Sci-fi Action Horror
Aliens is a rarity in film-making- it is better than the original.
Violent, loud, exciting- this is one film that never fails to entertain,
no matter how many times you've seen it. Following Ripley's terrifying
encounter with a single Alien, she is found 50 years later by a salvage
crew. After her ordeal, the last thing she'd want to do is return to the
planet where they picked up the creature in the first place, but
inevitably she does. More emphasis on action here, "Aliens" makes for a
much more thrilling ride than the original.

Anaconda
Horror
Almost laughable, Anaconda does provide some entertainment, but overall
this is a weak movie. Worth watching if it ever appears on TV again, or
even a cheap rental, but the truth is that Anaconda just isn't anywhere
near good enough to warrant a purchase, even at £4.99 on Cinema Club. As
far as "plot" goes, it's about a TV-crew getting noshed by a big snake;
something like this takes all of five minutes to come up with. Don't be
surprised if we see something along the lines of "Killer Lion" or "Attack
of the mutant geckos" some time soon.

And Now You're
Dead
Action Thriller
A gang of criminals attempt a diamond robbery, the only problem is
somebody else is also after the diamond. 'And Now You're Dead' is a
pretty laughable shambles of a film, which is amusingly badly dubbed and
atrociously acted. There are one or two decent fight scenes, but
this just screams "low budget rubbish".
